Skills for Enterprise raise over £200 for Rainbows

It was a challenging day to say the least. Equipped with bottles of water, sun block and sun glasses, walking 15 miles in the scorching sun was harder than we all had anticipated. But we battled through the blisters to complete the whole course in just over 5 hours.
We were impressed with the turnout of supporters and participants who joined together in support of Rainbows children's charity. The amount of camaraderie to encourage each other to complete the course was inspiring, with everyone walking together for the same cause.
As we monitored every mile count to the finish line, the thought of a cold drink and a comfortable seat was an extremely motivating factor. Despite this, as we crossed the finishing line the feeling of pride and achievement was overwhelming and was worth it in itself.
With the support of our employees and partners, we raised over £100 which was matched by Skills for Enterprise to total an impressive £210.
Skills for Enterprise pride ourselves on undergoing events for local charities and will continue to do so in the future to help raise funds and awareness for worthy causes.
