Leadership
Course Overview
According to the Chartered Management Institute, leadership is one of five key areas most likely to impact on future financial performance.
People are the most valuable resource in most companies. So getting the best out of them, earning their trust and helping to lead them in the right direction is vitally important.
The Leadership course will help new managers to identify, understand and develop more effective skills in leading people in the workplace. Using theory and a practical case study, the course examines the qualities that good leaders show and suggests ways to evolve them to motivate individuals and teams.
Course features
The Leadership course describes several different but successful management styles, encouraging you to assess which one is most suited to you and to your team.
The course uses a case study situation, and exercises such as multiple choice and true or false questions. After each exercise you'll be given feedback on how you've done.
An audio soundtrack delivers most of the content, with simple graphics and on-screen text summarising the key points.
You can print a transcript of each screen's audio component for future reference. The course also includes a glossary of business terms, an alphabetical list of business "thought leaders", and a resources section featuring links to useful online business resources.
Leadership is available for six months from the date first accessed.
